4th Age Game #43

I could be interested in a new GB or a straight out ‘even split’ 12x12 game. Count me in if you’re compiling a list.

Greg

Ok, back to the game.

The folks of Axis Mundi would like to welcome the the Blackroot Raiders to the halls of Fairhaven.
Have you sent your boy scouts to camp in foreign climes?
Surely the whelps at the gates are too young to be army regulars.

As for the the dwarves of Ulfarr, we will be sending our own ‘expedition’ your way very soon.
Please be a good sport and have 2117 cleared of trouble makers & rabble rousers when we arrive.

It seems the Axis Mundi have been sending its people towards somewhere but I dont think its the Ulfarr. Most of them seem to be heading for Shangri La or more commonly referered to as “Location Unknown” Keep them coming, there is plenty of room for more of your loyal citizens. Boromir has been resisting the calling but I am sure he will go with the rest in the next fortnight. Not to be prejudiced we are even willing to let Arolic go as well if he wants to.

You’ve had the advantage of a 14/11 split and a Southern setup over winter so you must be thrashing us!

What we’ve taken 5 of your starting capitals and you’ve taken 2 of ours. That cannot be right - can it?

KoG

King Boromir of Axis Mundi lives to fight another day! Now the loyal citizens will get to see him defend his capital against the enemy. One can only hope he gets killed in the battle. He is one blessed character.

Fred,

While it would have been nice to play with you and Jeff again, I hadn’t played in an epic struggle like this in my last 4 or so games. I got tired of 10-15 turn games, and I decided to join the underdogs. While this game was slow to get going, it definitely got interesting, and it’s the best game I’ve played in in years.

You guys have done a good job of pounding the poor Axis Mundi and Tribe of the Elk, but your 3 nations in the Northern Wastes, Northern Mirkwood, and Lorien all seem to have run out of cities and major towns.

Unfortunately, after slaughtering at least 7 of your team’s weakness mages, you still seem to have a few left. At least our agents had some periods of productivity, as well.

It’s pretty sad that good games like this are so few and far between, so let’s have some fun in this one,

Mike

Half way through and still enjoying it though the last couple of turns have been very bloody indeed!

Agree - and excellent game. One of the best 4th Age I can remember. And it’s still got legs yet!

On behalf of the DS I’d like to thank the freeps for what was a fun game. Thanks for agreeing to the draw proposal which I think was a fair result given the 37 turns of fierce competition. Happy to put together a final map if you give me access to your files or I can ship ours over if easier…

Cheers
