A mentor in a game is always a good idea for a new player, but never ever have any concern about posting your questions on the boards. ( You may have to listen to some meaningless gibberish, but eventually your question will be answered.) It is never a bad idea to ask questions and this is as good a place as any you will find.
Also never let anyone make you feel foolish because you are a new player.
