Automagic runtime error

I have run automagic (version 2003a) without problem to submit turns in the
past without problem.

I have just upgraded to new PC running windows XP instead of Windows 98 and
when trying to submit turns today got the error message "Run-time error
'1004': Microsoft excel did not find anything to print." Consequently the
e-mail with file attachment is not sent although the attachment is created.
I have had to send the attachment manually.

Anybody have any ideas on how to correct this?

Regards

Mike Sankey

I get the same problem, but they can't fix it. It's something to do
with XP. You're going to just have to attach your orders instead of
having the program attach them for you.

Hi,

I'm not sure about that. 2003 has worked for just about everyone after some advice/tweaking...

I'm sure we'll hit some snags soon, but its looking pretty robust.

If you upgrade your system, you'll need to reinstall AM and import an XmL file again. sorry about that, the import data from old AM creates just the error described above.

Greetings:

I was having the run time error. A new install and import of a new xml file and it fixed the problem.

Actually, I believe AutoMagic 2003b should resolve this issue. (AM2003b
is now available for download. Just re-download AutoMagic from the
MeGames website or my own.)

For those who wish to stay with 2003a, Sam is correct. You should be
able to DELETE & IMPORT and this should fix the problem.

The latest version of Automagic 2003b is available. This has an improved system for deciding how to send your turns, including direct connection to the www.meturn.com website.

Thanks for that. I have now downloaded version 2003b and used it from
scratch to create a turn but still get the same error message when choosing
auto send via outlook e-mail. Guess it must be one of my settings in either
excel, windows or outlook express that is doing it. I'll just have to send
the files manually in future.

Thanks for help.

Ahhh... I thought this was another problem. There are known issues with
Outlook Express. Some people who use it don't have a problem, while
others do. Outlook (NOT Express) seems to work fine, though.

Hi Mike

Are you importing an xml file?
