Are you saying your team isn’t properly coordinating? Well that’s certainly not my fault.
Are you saying your teamates don’t listen to you, or is it they don’t take you seriously? Well who’s to blame for that.
I don’t occupy Mirkwood Dits, the objective was not for my nation to defeat all you guys but simply to remain a presence. I am still there. Few hundred troops or a few thousand I am still there. You have not finished with that theatre and from the armies clustered around Sarn Goriwing it appears that the army there is not all that inconsequential at least not to your allies even if it was to you. As it is your leisurely approach allowed plenty of time for me to build elsewhere. My mission in Mirkwood was successfully finished 4 turns ago. The current situation is simply dividends. Bluster on it’s entertaining.
Carn Dum is unimportant until Mordor is relocated? Please. We all know that’s not going to happen. It’s hard to even find a Free army to fight anymore in the Mordor area. All that has to be done is block them and eat them with a dragon or stick their commanders with a dagger. Shameful wasting of troop strength recruiting time, good commanders who are replaced with rubbish resources but as long as you’re willing to do it who are we to complain? Darrel, I guess you are just unimportant, that must be why so many Free nations have sent contingents west of the Misty Mountains.
Ditski, I don’t know what the fixation is that you have with sophmoric sexual innuendo. I could care less about the size of your pecker. I belive the truth that a large percentage of your good starting characters are now dead, that they have been replaced by guys who must now refuse challenge every time they encounter a DS character or in the case of Army commanders whenever they encounter armed opposition must be weighing heavily on you. The game is slipping away from your side. Not over yet, but we are fairly sure it is looking good for a win for us. You have no idea of our economic status that is clear from your posts. Maybe you know what is in store for your characters and are avoiding bringing it up. Either way the pecker argument and the nanny nanny boo boo responses are not going to have a significant impact on the game.
i love reading this thread. i cant wait for the post game chat. the evils think they are head up, the freeps seem pretty confident. excellent.
when your speaking of killing 3 freeps in a single turn, then adding up the economics, it seems your really straining to build a mountain out of a mole hill. must be all those icons you have running free in open space across the map.
3222 now has fresh water and toilets. thats what happens after its been freep for 10 turns. how do you justify nwest mordor as a freep protectorate?
oh, your hired troops have less distance to march. so your keeping your costs down, while we spend spend spend as we push push push into mordor.
interesting plan.
me, i’m just killing time, doing my do, and scheming those schemes.
luck in all things outside 18 evils.
SM
I don’t have to justify Udun as a Freep protectorate. I would liken it more to a killing zone. We can’t count high enough to number your dead. 3222 is as far as the Freep armies ever seem to get then they die or go home as their commanders die. Pretty much the same story in the Ithil Pass. Free armies come up are either destroyed or disbanded at Minas Morghul or Barad Ungol and we wait for the next batch of victims.
Three characters per turn doesn’t sound like much does it. However one of those characters also lost what 1500 or 2000 troops that the Free will now have to take three to four turns to replace. In that time you will lose even another 9 to 12 characters even if we go easy on you as we did this turn. You know 3 characters dead this turn was light there have been turns where your death toll has been higher. My point is you are losing characters steadily. Can you honestly say you are killing ours. You know you can’t. Those that you are losing are superior to those that you can name. Every kill makes our agents that much better. Every victory whether won by Dragon or main force makes our Lords and Regents etc stronger. Your new commanders risk challenge everywhere the run into us. You lost your first army to Spirit mastery this will increase. Dragons are flocking to join our ranks this is not good for the Free as they have experienced before. It is only going to get worse. Especially if the Free are not a properly organized team or coordinated team as Ditski suggests. His words not mine.
I wonder if there will be an exchange at the end of the game. It will be interesting to see as you say.
not your fault we haven’t always been properly co-ordinated and yes I am the blame if my team does not take me seriously… geez that’s 2 from 2 but when I look at your season stats, 2 from 50 don’t make much of a batting average, even a wild guess or a bleeder can keep you going sometimes
Sorry didn’t get past the first 2 lines, didn’t have time… too busy arguing with allies - they want to eliminate the DS where I just want to see mirkwood empty… has a nice ring to it… they’r esaying that’s way too much focus
Oh, I did read the last line too and I am having fun… with you of course
lets stay sensible here - I think you are making a lot of fuss about very little, that’s not what I would have expected from you. The DS are just beginning to do their job properly. AFAICS the DS play has been sub-standard so far and it’s a pity the FP didn’t make more of it.
This game will be decided in the next five turns, but it is still wide open. Should you win - shame on us…
Bernd, we admit that we have not played our best game in game 18. Yet still here we are in turn 15 now; and we DS really do feel the corner has been turned and this game will end in a DS victory. You have just recently joined the game but if indeed from what you say the play of the DS has been “sub standard” given the situation now, does that mean the Free have also suffered from sub standard play? I agree with you completely, the game is now entereing the phase where the DS if they have planned correctly and developed their characters correctly should have an edge in the character side of the game. What remains to be seen is will that edge be decisive. We think it will. Time will tell of course. So hang in there Bernd and lets see what our poor play can do to effect the outcome of the game.
I mean no disrespect to any of you. Well maybe to Ditski. I have had email from others following this thread saying that they are enjoying the give and take in a game where both sides think their chances for final victory are still good. I know you guys have had to work through some serious internal team issues but seem to have come out ok. Getting Bernd to take over a position gained you a good player. Don’t know who he replaced but having him come off the bench certainly is not going to hurt you. We of course cannot see all your pdf information and as Steve has pointed out the after game discussion should indeed be interesting I hope we have one. I for one would like to know the causes for your optimism at this point and I would assume from your posts that I make too much of little suggests that you might be wondering why. I agree with Bernd that the next few turns will be the deciding ones. I only know what we have planned. Don’t have much besides rumors scouts and map information concerning your plans; but unless there are several large well fed cavalry armies on the eastern edge of the map ready to pounce on Mordor it does not appear there is an immediate threat there. The west is still in play, you may have the upper hand there, and perhaps that is where your optimism is coming from. I’ll sign off this thread for awhile and let the results speak for themselves.
Are you guys still up for a rematch with sides reversed? I gather you prefer to play the DS. We prefer to play the Free but wanted a change. A rematch strength on strength might be interesting.
Sub-standard? I shoot you evil looks from my mountain…and play creepy sounding organ music.
Well, if we’re so substandard let’s see what YOU can do with arthedain. I suggest attacking the noldo…they are up to something…and ditski…invade him, he’ll never suspect it.
Are you trying to be nasty? Here I’m thinking that it was just a bit of banter. Thanks for the insult, it only means you care about what I’ve said and just like a good toothpaste, I do get into the enamel
Please don’t sign off - I can’t afford you to go, you write the most interesting fiction stories… they have drama, the threat of violence and finish with a love story and contain the ultimate villian
if we investigated too deeply we might find out that you actually don’t have any weapons of mass destruction - so we rather follow the common practice of invading first and asking questions later
Yes, I am blaming the death of the Dwarven hot dog eating champion (Paz) on mad cow disease. The easterlings have fallen for it…err…I mean are being reasonable and have promised investigations and not to invade us with their potent military. The easterling ambassador condemns your brutal actions towards the peace loving misunderstood minions of Sauron who have no track record of aggression. Did I mention that Sauron got 100% of the vote in our last election?
Good game guys but it’s probably over now unless a miracle occurred for you elsewhere. I doubt you can keep us from over-running you in the west but like it or not you are now on the defensive there.
The only thing that worked for you was bondan moving onto 2004 which only occurred due to the wrong set of orders being sent in. No biggie though.
For those of you keeping score at home…the FP tried to attack the Rhu capital 2008 (yeah we still have our starting capitals) and got annihilated because he has much higher loyalty than they expected. Their other armies at 2007 - Dragon, 2006 - Dragon, 1907 - Assassin didn’t fare well either.
There is also a WK army on arth’s capital. (you may have spotted some characters there too)
I really wanted to respond to this earlier…but didn’t want to ruin the surprise. What have you done to this healthy nation!!! And against sub-standard competition no less.
P.S. I sent a commander to your capital this turn to warn you about dragons and unsavory instigators prowling the countryside turning your own people against you.
Please let me know if he doesn’t arrive…I will send another.
