Game 18 at last

Who cares about Al, let’s talk about Kelly, hmmmmmmmm, yummy,

Hmmm, Kelly scored 4…what? exactly?..during 1 game…?

Last turn Gixx said we were desperate and lying and this turn he says the WK and Rhu are “dying nations”. Then why aren’t we hearing from anyone other than you and Veo? (Did you guys muzzle Dits again?)

I wouldn’t push the situation but your talking a lot of trash to us so care to back any of it up with predictions?

I’m not interested in trash-stories, maybe that’s the reason why I’m not posting so very often.

You’ve titled me a “defenseless little worm” and that’s something I’ve taken personal.

Now you’ll have to learn what an angry worm is able to do.–

Darrell, I’ve never given you a name or title ( and when I’m looking back to the short time we’ve played together, there are really many fitting possible titles ).

Thah !

Gixxx

Gixxer, I never called you a defenseless worm. Have one of your team members re-read my post for you and you will see I was calling MYSELF that.
Hey, your english is wayyyyy better than my german but it isn’t perfect.

All we hear from you guys is how bad we play…I’d hoped for some degree of civility after we gave you guys an extension.

I’ve specifically not made any rude comments about some of the nations in the game that aren’t perhaps as skilled as say Veo or the former arthedain player after being asked not to so perhaps you could consider a more even tone yourselves?

Hey, not fair. We’re supposed to say you suck, and you’re supposed to say we suck…??? That’s in the Rules. Really, page 2. “pbmforum: say the other team sucks. read how they think you suck and they know everything. deny everything, escalate, say they suck really really hard, etc, repeat”

And what’s with the “former” Arthedain player bit…? Same nation, same guy…

I did not mean to sound arrogant when I said that the DS play seemed sub-standard to me (btw. some of your team agreed to that statement). AND the fact that despite of this you are still all alive and kicking (well, more or less  ) leads to the conclusion that the FP play has not been optimal, as well.

Sooo… the result is that we have a tight and thrilling game now which is what we all enjoy, no?

Let us leave aggressiveness out of this thread. Maybe we should all shut up and just play for a while, and let the results speak for themselves.

Hey BB

Good points on the capitols. Yep the losses had some short tem effects. I think those have been addressed however. At least the loss of Dol Guldur has. I don’t have the time to review all the turn reports for population center levels lost by each side. You guys may have some advantage there. I don’t feel though that it is affecting the game at this point as much as it seems you guys feel it is. I think Bernd is right we have a tight game. I did agree with Bernd that we have not been on the top of our game. Of course I believe if we were the game would be clearly apparent to you as a defeat for your side. We’ll just have to keep playing it out.

Gixx, let’s try it another way. Darrel was trying to be sarcastic when he used the defenseless worm comment. He said he was the defensless worm in response to your posting about how bad things were in the west for the DS. We all know it was not all that bad for the DS, however he was not calling you anything especially a defenseless worm. That you continue to make such a big deal of that is really not understandable. Hopefully this is now made clear for you. Gixx, we can read what happened on our turn reports and see clearly that you are losing characters much faster than we are. You are are killing our armies at about the same rate as we are eliminating yours; but you are losing many more troops than we are and are often losing the commanders of those troops at the same time. Our little one or two turns of recruitment armies are often augmented by dragons as you say. Killing our 400 troops but losing three times as many along with the commander is not a very good exchange is it? Ditski went to pains to explain that you guys can replace those commanders easy enough. However I would view any 30 point commander as a step down from Atagavia or Argirion or Amroth. Less command capability orders used to replace the character fewer characters to give orders with for the replacement of characters; less resources to spend on troops, or the market or training because of the cost to replace the characters. Less orders over all the next turn versus no decrease in your opponents. The character war has begun. Are we killing you faster than you can replace. Well theoretically no. I guess you could name 12 new characters per turn if you leave a commander at each of your capitols. We are however killing your starting characters each turn. We have removed the load of many artifacts from you. We are ranching dragons. We are manipulating the market, perhaps not enough to impress you, but certainly enough to keep our nations going. I feel that time favors us.

Yes we did not have it all our own way last turn, Brad is correct. I feel that we did however win that turn, and the one before it. We think we will win this one as well, but as Bernd has said it is an exciting game and we will just have to let events play out.

BB

Oh, I thought morm was the replacement Arth player…my bad if that is not the case. Actually I hope it’s the same player…payback and all.

Mormegil and I are sharing a nation - I do the capital orders, he does the others. Gixxer is playing the rest. Ditto can’t afford this game, what with all those children of his, but we let him on the group to read our turns…

It’s ok…I was just teasing you back. I have to say that after 10-11 pages of taking our beatings while the FP squandered their early advantage…I have no intention of not returning the favor in the few turns that remain before you guys quit.

Hey Darrell,
don’t panic I’m able to understand your postings and I was also able to understand the worm-posting.
It was easy to missunderstand, but with your explanation you’ve robbed me the chance to play the “indignant” further on.

Have Fun !

Gixxx

Ah, that explains everything…we already have one german playing in this game with a sense of humor (on our side) so I figured the odds of two were inconceivable.

Four, actually…add in some Aussies, a couple Canadians, some backwoods Michigonian, a Nawlin’s survivor and a couple nascent Long Islanders, well, sense of humour is certainly an asset…

Wow, if you guys are sharing cardolan it must take you about 10 seconds to do your turn. Also the 2, 1, and 5 keys must be nearly worn out on your computers.

Now that I think about it, doing the Cardy capital orders is somewhat easy…Mormie barely ever sends anyone back there…I’ll have to talk to him about this.

Hey Darrel,

you are supposed to insult our opponents

well that is not nice, by saying we DS have only one german playing in this game with a sense of humor, you imply that either Peter, Tine or I don´t have a sense of Humor.

1/3 of the DS Team is German.

Germans do have a sense of humor. Maybe a bit more an the sarcastic side, to the american cake in the face humor, but humor none the less.

FK alive and kicking. By the way the FP botched it Turn 14 and still no FK pop center has been taken by attack or threat, only a single newly placed camp influenced by Elrond. Boy are the FP kicking the sh… out of me. I need to surrended soon, before Osric is successful this turn

I’ve lived long enough in Germany, and I’m assured they do have a sense of humour. I even went to a lecture once where a professor tried to explain it.

I’m sure Tina will correct me when I get home.

I see a horde of Sinda are visiting my Mirkwood camp again. I bet you don’t have the courage to try a threat. You know the fighting spirit of orcs is superior to elves, as we showed you.

As yes, my bad…I just knew that Gixx knew Tine personally so I left you guys out. :o

Don’t leave out the Canadians…if you’ve ever seen the Red Green show…you’ll know what I mean about funny.
