I notice neither is doing much posting as of late. I think Darrel hit it on the head about the trash talk early and ours now.
Some of the talk did teach me a lesson. After Urgubal’s destruction at the foot of Dol Guldur, one of your allies pointed out that my attack simply saved you an order. I have learned from that and actually saved myself some orders since. This has been a hard fought game. We of course feel we have the upper hand, obviously you guys do as well and that is the sign of a evenly matched game. So, I hope you will be able to convince Steve that there is no need to get angry about the game.
To answer your questions about the armies from Mordor. Those that were leaving left a long time ago. You have been so obliging about sending opposition that we have saved thousands of gold on shoe leather. We only march a short distance fight a battle, our dragons eat your armies we recover the shoes from our dead and yours and recycle them to new troops who are thankful to be issued boots that have already been broken in. I have always wondered at the the battlefield recovery messages where food and not durable goods are found by commanders. Imagine how much tougher it would be for your guys if you were facing our troops who were equipped with fine Gondorian and Eothraim blades. Still our dragon ranches and procurement system is working well for us.
I guess my insignificant icon will simply go his merry way since you guys see it as a non threat.
Hey Veo…and whomever is playing the Duns…you might want to look at your western teamates pdf’s and think “worst case scenario”…we’ll be seeing you guys REALLY soon.
Of course you can choose to believe Gixxer that everything is ok…and I’m just making up stories…
Now Gixx was that move by Hallas a desperate one or what? Recruit 100 troops and move them to the capital and sure death only to stave off emissary attack for another turn? Moving agent help there are you? Want to get into a character battle or just hoping that Hallas gives Cardolan another breath of life. Where has Hallas been? Touring the lands of the Duns? What did he do with all those troops he had? He certainly didn’t fight anyone. Is it possible he headed for a distant frontier and then when he realized what a desperate plight his nation was in he disbanded his troops and rushed home to throw himself on the pile of dead?
Again all in fun Steve, all in fun. Don’t get into a flame mood.
Glad you’re flamed out. Yes it is funny isn’t it? Can’t I get someone to at least chase me around a bit in Mirkwood? I am a threat, really I am. Off to get some sleep now.
Nobody dropped. Nobody was here to begin with, nobody available to drop. When we find someone capable of dropping, we’ll let you know. I can’t drop, because I’m not really playing this game. See how it’s all funny?
Darrel’s not bored in fact none of US are bored, you guys seem to be. Ditski has stopped posting. Veo’s recent postings are all about how funny things are. I believe that is what Darrel is talking about.
Well I’m bored…noting really has happend in this game since the EO sacked a few capitals oh about 12 turns ago. The Markets gone, you guys have no gold to move, we have the long push into Mordor to finsh you off. Turn 17 one has even cast a curse, you guys have slaped together a 4 man sickness crew wow. Four huge point scoring Chars. kill once crap commander a turn. If you get them in the same hex. In about 5-6 truns turns the DS will lose just about every PC outside mordor…other then a stray Emy’ed towns or such. You think you can hurt the FP’s here by burning, Emy, or threatening a few of our PC’s but it really dose not matter in the long run as you have nothing to hold on to them with. Your agent actions are rather lame, soon built FP agents will be able to match…its a slow ride down hill for the DS. Sorry, just how I see it. This is not from any Great play by the FP’s mind you its just the way its going to fall…
I don’t see how those points are mutually exclusive. It’s obvious that (some) of your guys aren’t enjoying the game and it’s now REALLY obvious that some of your teamates aren’t even talking to each other nor are they taking the time to glance at what’s going on in other sections of the map.
I honestly just want everyone to have an enjoyable game, it’s why we are here and I couldn’t fathom why you guys were slogging along but it’s clear now after the post from your Dwarf player.
I look forward to another 5-10 turns of hard fought gaming.
Don’t have a clue do you? I can see why you’re bored you never do anything. You do come to the point but let me point out to you that the success of the Eo cost them all their troops and as you say that was 12 turns ago. Crap characters for the Sickness Squad well they’re not your characters are they? What is the Cardolani players position on how many commanders he has left, crap or otherwise. You know that Cardolan hires armies for free don’t you? That’s kind of hard to do when you are out of characters with command skill. Hallas moving into 1513 was purely a move of desperation. You guys have certainly hung him out to dry.
Your prediction about pops outside of Mordor is going to be a hard one to make reality. Hell all but one of mine is outside of Mordor and none apparently are under any threat of attack. The Eothraim will shortly lose their next big army horses are so tastey to dragons you know. Then what? The Eoplex is busy but Uirdiks and Betagavia aren’t ready for combat, maybe if you combine Nienor and Artorious’ forces you’ve got something but then again since one of them or both of them could die in the next turn or so that doesn’t seem to be much of a threat to us. The Dwarves, your nation, wow what a power. It was pretty easy to walk into your capital and snuff that army. What have YOU done lately.
All we have done the last few turns is kill off the armies of Arthedain and Cardolan put their capitals under character siege, run up a count of crap commanders such as Pelendur and Hallas, Marl Tarma and the list goes on. The capital of Arthedain is rebellious and will have a chance of falling this turn. Any character that you send to either 1513 or 1407 dies immediately, making the naming of characters impossible and limiting your capital orders there, but since that doesn’t bother you play on oh clueless one. South Gondor appears to be relocating. Yes they have picked up some Harad real estate but they are losing ground at home. Mordor is intact and with our dragon recruitment program all you do is lose troops at multiples of our loss rate.
So, don’t be impressed. We’ll play on no problem. Enjoy
I just called the game as I saw it and man the truth must hurt. Not really my intent but ok.
Don’t talk to me about what people have or have not done, we can’t even till if half your team is active. All that effort in the West you took next to nothing, PC wise and will soon lose everything, wow cardy lost some chars? Big deal, as you gained nothing from them, they will be one and all be built back as his tax base is intact. And you guys are still out in the West plugging away like it matters not seeing that you lost there 7 turns ago and there is nothing that can stop that. Now long ago, you lost everything in Mirkwood other then the DrL hidden PC with nothing gained. Corsair was untouched Haradwaith about to lose it all-giving you 4 homeless nations. The Northman not even scratched and romping in the back of Mordor. North Gondor with the huge bulk of his start characters and PC’s same for the EO and EO-Plex never touched…I don’t see what you’re so proud of? The DS just over all gained nothing, gave a good fight yeah but lost/losing the whole map. Even if you take a few FP’s PC here and there its not anything you can hold for more then a turn or two. Some dragons, that’s what you’re holding on to, you guys got some dragons? That’s what’s going to save you…man people are wondering why we are bored?
PS I’d love to see the CL kill total. I’m guessing it’s a sickly low number for turn 17.
Again clueless. Turn 17 coming up and you have not eliminated a single nation. You predict Harad will be homeless. I will remind you of that prediction say 4 turns from now if you are still playing. Ditski is free to romp all he wants, he’s not taking anything or doing anything dangerous to us. I lost everything in Mirkwood with nothing gained? Ho Ho you the Dragon Lord against the Dwarves, Sinda and Woodmen yep I guess you would have done a lot better. Going to be hard to rename Cardolan characters if you cannot stay alive long enough to get to that order. The biggest problem your side has caused in the west was to delay Rhudaur being able to issue capital orders while you bungled the attack on his capital. Interesting that we lost in the west several turns ago yet it is Cardolan and Arthedain who stand to lose capitals in the next turn or so and other pops. Pathetically few armies in the west with a light bulb to identify them. Those that do exist are in contact and don’t seem to be much of a threat. I know you Dwarves live in caves but you are sounding more like a mushroom, living in the dark and being fed horse_____. I would challenge you to bring it on stumpy but my allies want us to tone it down.
When game ends we will discuss where we felt you lost it.
Last time I played the DrL in power game 16 a few months past. I/DS team owned Mirkwood by turn 15’ish every FP PC other then the Sinda capital was taken including the EO-Plex. So yeah I’d have done a lot better…you did nothing in here it would be near impossable to do worse.
Perhaps your team did better. We did not have taking Mirkwood as one of our objectives. I would have played differently had that been one of the objectives. I accomplished what was requested of me. You see we’re playing to beat you not necessarily impress you. There’s not much in this game world that you can say to get me upset. As I said I will remind you in a few turns of your bold prediction of the DS not having any population centers outside of Mordor after a few more turns. Since almost all of mine are outside of Mordor I will be most interested in seeing your team accomplish your predictions. As for the March on Mordor, we’ve been seeing that, dealing with that as well. You step through the threshold but nothing more. Your side is convinced that we teeter on disaster every turn. I wonder that we have survived so long you guys are sooo good. Talk to me again when the major towns of Arthedain and Cardolan have gone about how we lost in the west. I mean you guys took the Rhudaur in a blitzkrieg of only 15 turns. Bold talk Stumpy better stay in your cave and send gold. That seems what you’re best at.
