I already know you guys don’t give a rat’s ass about Tolkien’s Middle-earth, you don’t have to repeat it. You like this game as a wargame, and you don’t know or care about the fictional history behind it. That’s fine, too. But at least recognize that some of us enjoy not just the game but the “world” in which it played.
Now you need some major correction… In 1650 scenero in which this game system does not accurately depict writing’s of Tolkien and way the Hero’s Villain’s are armies fought! The area I refer to as Rohan is Rohan in th Lord of the rings! Read it at learn something before you shoot off your Mouth!
2321 is Where the Riders of ROHAN formed to Save Minas Tirith! That is Rohan Not Gondor! 2119 Is Rohan’s In Lord of the the rings all the hills and plains leading to Rhovain are Rohan’s!
Now back to why This game doesn’t depict Tolkiens world… Challenges could be refused! Agents are used to depict this fact… I say what dam agents they Forced a Fight … To refuse meant the Hero’s leading a Nation Army or just a City would flee! If you care so Dam much about tghe purity of Tolkiens writing suggest a code Change… If not shut the Hell up about what I call Rohan the Gap of Rohan… Becuase I own it now and The FP will never again! Wow. No really…wow. You do know that Tolkien wrote more than just “The Lord of the Rings”, right? And that the events of the game (MEPBM 1650) take place 1300 years before the events of the LotR trilogy? Did you know that every answer to every riddle in the game is in a book written by Tolkien, and that many of those answers cannot be found in the LotR trilogy? And that Tolkien wrote a very detailed history of the world of Middle-earth? And that the Eothraim of 1650 are actually just a sub-nation of the Northmen, and that the land you call Rohan was a province of Gondor in the year 1650? Here is some history on the land of Rohan that I’m sure you don’t know:
Originally the Gondorian province of Calenardhon, the land north of the White Mountains was gifted by Steward Cirion to Eorl of the Northmen in 2510 (Third Age). Eorl had led his men through great hardship from the far north to the aid of Gondor, and Cirion gave him the wide green lands of Calenardhon in recognition of his aid, swearing eternal friendship between old Gondor and the new land of Rohan.
Note that Rohan was founded in the year 2510 of the Third Age, while the game we are playing takes place around the year 1650 of the Third Age. Rohan won’t exist for another 860 years. In game time, that’s 22,360 turns.

Yes I do know every riddle can be answered mainly from the Simirillian… yes I did read this book somewhat also… Many years ago… Yet I found the writing so dry I found myself skimming it much like players skim my emails! 
So yes in consquence I ask quetions to the literary experts when I need such invalueable information… You’ll also note my style of play shy’s away from the need often becuase I don’t care for the role…

Your posts are not out of line neither are Brad’s correcting me about Rohan in this scenero… I use Rohan for a purpose so those less astute on Middle Earth know where I am talking about… Becuase even the most Casual player knows the region of Rohan from the movie!
