KS 617 is ended then, thanks to our Loyalist foes for the game. Had lots of fun, lost a capital, got kicked around, and came back in the end. Thanks also for not dragging on, it gives us a chance to start anew, as ally or enemy, in the next one.
Thanks to all the Loyalist team for making this a very enjoyable game; it was a very intriguing encounter with lots learned (and even more things still to learn), while unexpected happenings kept every turn interesting.
This was one of my first games returning to ME and I was not disappointed; KinStrife has a great mix of many of the best elements of all scenarios. Some of the things I particularly like about KS are (no particular order or priority):
-Agents are less powerful and have less influence;+10 to kidnap/assassination only when gained by recruiting NPC - Ji Indur, few powerful agent artefacts or characters
-Neutrals are encouraged to declare early
-Every nation is on the front line to some degree
-Hidden pop centers afford better protection, since they can be moved and few starting mages can reveal them
-Excellent nation customisation at game start and even through the game by gaining new SNAs
-Strong affordable characters, since economies (while important) don’t restrict character numbers
-Champions with 3 orders
-Up to 23 NPCs available to be recruited by each allegiance; many great characters with new SNAs
-So much is still unknown!
Anyhow, if you aren’t in for 623, you will miss out
I played Arnor. You (all of you it seemed like) did a good job of keeping me focused internally for most of the game with sneaking armies into my backdoor and forcing me to chase them. When I did branch out and hit someone it seemed to just let another army in somewhere. Well done!
