Why is it surprising? In world of sports fierce competitors often become the closest friends when not competing with each other… It’s True myself and Guy when in opposing sides get down right nasty in competing with the other… It’s the highiest compliment of the player pool who play these silly games that real friendships comes in these games even when they were once on opposite sides…

Consequently your truces in this game could not be trusted. Anyway, back to real
life, few hours until my small op. I will return.
I didn’t stab him. The CL did, then when he was out I attacked him as he had 1 MT left (losing his back-up MT and entire start army left him dead in the water). It was opportunistic, I agree, but I recall warning him that I was coming for him and even apologised as I drove the dagger through his … yeh well you get the idea. We even discussed it after the event…
If I’m going to attack I’ll, probably, give a warning… :stab: (gotta love these icons!) Ditto with you - I discussed a truce, you even gave me false intel about someone gunning for me, for which I took no umbrage. I offered to share the land, but you fancied having a go at the number 1 player, so that’s fine.
Heh it’s a game, I don’t take it personally. I’m 99% trustworthy…

you were not No 1 of anything… actually I was No 1 Enemy Player… But this is all
BS as there is a pool of 20 players I believe who are as good as the other…
If you want to chat more about TRUST and HONOUR wait a few days until my
head has recovered from being cut open. If you know the meaning of the
words there is always the dictionary!!
Honour is one of the reasons why I would stand with certain players till the
end of the world why others…

I didn’t attack him, the CL did - then when he was out I attacked him, warning him I was coming. But only when he had nothing left in the game but a Capital, no army and the CL going for him anyway. So at that point I moved on him, with the appropriate warning. He even agreed that he made a horrible mistake and was out of the game by then.

Heh you didn’t say they were yours - you were being cagey so I just moved around and hadn’t time to get my orders changed. Believe it or not, me 69 has been low on my efforts, but I guess I’ll have to up that somewhat… I also mentioned that due to my error that I would move off and tried to divy up the PCs (in your favour I might add) but you wanted a battle (there was nothing else for you to attack so I guess you were bored). Boredom is as good a reason to go to war as any I guess… ;)
Also you spread some, let’s call them miscommunications, about players attacking me… That was interesting. I recall the attempt you had to get me to attack the Easterlings as well. :D:eek:

Um, it appears to be me number 1 in game 69 - I doubt it will last with 6 hunting me but heh, I made it to number 1. Relax Guy - I can see that you get quite heated… it’s a game, enjoy the game. If I lose I lose, if I win I win, like I said I hold no grudges. The all v all format is one where players do attack each other and that’s the concept of the game.
Like I said I think that it can be improved with a One nation winner(s) and a Duo nation winner(s) so that there’s a more interesting battle (for large parts of the game there’s not a lot of aggressing going on, but it’s fun turtling and building up a nation). That way you don’t get 2 nations run by one player ganging up on a singleton. It’s a cute format and I can understand the appeal of it all. It’s something I’ll consider playing again as well as it’s sort of like GB but with looser alliances.

Well ime being the small fry around here doesn’t really bode well with declared intentions… Giving a monster sized opposition and the slow start due to dwarven encursion early didn’t seem wise on my part… But twelve plus turns and you certainly had plenty of time to grow quite powerful. But good luck with your turn… I just had to post here I was attacking or i might have faced the full brunt of youyr retaliation!

I’ve never been concerned about winning but of doing the right thing… Even if Terry
was attacked by everyone in the game I would have declared war on them… Just
because it is game does not mean friendships or honour counts for nothing… For me
it counts for everything in all I do and everything I have done since I read about
Thermopylae. Therefore pesonally when I go to my grave it will be with a satisfied
mind.

Actually if I could vote a winner it would be whoever played the Dragon Lord / Dwarves. No communication, just went out and attacked all he could to have fun. I think he made much of this game while I puzzled over why the Arthedain didn’t attack me 
.
And if I can be serious for a second I think honour is a misplaced concept here. The game was designed to allow honourable behaviour but is certainly designed so that people can play it any way they like.
Yes Simon, I play this game with honour, others choose not too and these different
paths are all open for us to take… Therefore its a misplaced concept for you but not
for me, indeed one of the beautiful parts of life is the diversity and contrast of
opinions, paths of life, ideas and culture…
Back to this game, so Clint… Yes, you are No 1 in the rankings for the game and
you managed this feat by taking over a non playing pc’s, backstabbing a fatally
wounded nation and taking over dead nation’s pc’s. You have really never
fought… Some of us have been fighting battles every time since T3.
