Thank God Bush had the guts to not sign Kyoto. It’s just plain bad science. All of a sudden radical environmentalism has become a religion, a cult of the brainwashed, if you will; and if you don’t fall in line, you’re a heretic, or worse, an apostate. How many of you Environmental Acolytes have read any of the research on the hypothesis regarding carbon emissions and a link to global warming/rapid climate change? I’m no scientist, but I am fairly well-read for a hillbilly. Clint, if i am reading this right you will charge us a $1.80 each time you send us an insufficient funds notice? If this is true can we do one thing can we change the wording, as it is no longer a courtesy please do not call it such. A minor complaint, but an annoyance nevertheless. If it is a courtesy, it should be free not a charge for it.
Didn’t know I fit under Dave’s statistics either – funny , last time i looked , I live in NY , Make over 6 figures a year and have an Associates degree and voted for Bush both times !! And to tell ya the truth – the Damn Democrats are killing me here – any problem they have – just raise Taxes to cover it – can’t wait till i retire and will be down in Florida in two years running my own business there !! Nassua County Democrats have raised my property taxes from $5400 a year in 2001 to over $7200 – so Clints small raise is nothing !! Need another Boston tea Party in this State !! Sorry this is off topic – but really gauls me how much we pay in NY !!
Good Lord, B.K., that’s high property taxes! In Louisiana Vets pay no property taxes on their homes. Compliments of a grateful Republic. Two years of danger and hardship have saved me umpteen dollars over the decades.
Hey Mike, you’re just the other stereotypical Republican voter, a fat-cat who doesn’t want to pay his fair-share. Nevermind the fact that as a small business owner you will be creating jobs and generating sales taxes, payroll taxes (to include Social Security taxes, Medicare taxes, state unemployment taxes, federal and state income tax withholding), perhaps one day death taxes, in addition to your property taxes. It’s no wonder almost half of the people vote for a welfare state when the top 50% of taxpayers account for 90% of the income tax collected (with the bottom tier having a negative effective marginal rate due to refundable credits).

Only pay $1800 for all 3 of my properties down here in Polk county Florida, LOL I’d rather be “able” to pay taxes as a Dem, then stand on a soupline as a Republican, especially as a Union member,
People – am a Union member – NYPD – and boy do some of you have it wrong – never said i was a republican – am an Independant – don’t like the religious right of the Republicans and the Liberal left of the Democrats !! Don’t run my business in NY either – Father and Brother are running it down in Florida for me till i get there and great thing is have property down there that is ten times bigger than here and pay less than a fourth in taxes on it !! No wonder Florida went up by two electoral votes and NY went down !! Not to mention no more snow to deal with – maybe a hurricane or three !!
