The Rhu player and I (Witch King) would have lunch together pretty much every day after turns ran…when I showed up and told him that my combat report said about what was sitting on his capital he sat quietly for about 5 seconds as his brain tried to process what I was telling him. Then he laughed for well…a long time. 
Then after that gift, we lost the Rhu capital because of a typo in a response to get a Dragon…that was funny too but more of the wailing and moaning variety.
It’s not too often you get to see a battle report with:

Led by Lord Prince Valium of the Eothrain at Cameth Brin.

and you have to admit that attacking was better than retiring…
It never occurred to me that I had masochistic tendencies until I took over that position - almost voluntarily, Gixxer just threatened me a little with his handbag of doom…
speaking of funny combat reports, I remember a FA game where my 1600 hc battled a 5000 men army mainly composed of ma, ar and li (erquipped with br armor). I lost 1000 troops…
honestly, I think this adds to the flavor of the game, where you just see hi and hc all the time…
MA, Archers and LI in bronze armour. I did not know this was allowed.

Indeed, I wish that the recruiting limit for a city reflected the TYPE recruited or that some other adjustment were made…would definitely spice things up but this horse has been beaten to a pulp in other threads.
