Hi all,
I’m the author of JOverseer. For those interested to try it out you can find the home page at http://code.google.com/p/joverseer/. It is still in version 0.9.13, which is pretty damn close to release. However I am not going to officially release it quite yet. But whoever wants to try it out is welcome to.
As for release, it does not entirelly depend on me, but also on the MEPBM guys. I believe that I can’t give a program to their clients without their consent.
Truth be told, with the new scenarios coming out (Untold War and Kin Strife), release date has fallen behind because I want to add support for the new scenarios first.

PS: Dear happymadcat, I’d appreciate it if you don’t dismiss my work, especially when you haven’t tried it out. You may express whatever personal preference you like but you can’t say what my program does or does not until you actually see it.
Does JOverseer work with Macs? Because if so, I’d love to give it a try.
(If that question has been answered somewhere else, I do apologize!)

It works with Macs but people have reported a very serious bug (drop-down lists not working), which practially makes it unusable. I don’t have a mac so I can’t reproduce/fix but I’m looking into it.
If you are interested maybe you can try it too and let me know how it goes on your machine?

I use JOverseer on my Mac. You can open a drop-down with the mouse, but you have to use arrow keys and the Enter key to select items. I find that to be a minor annoyance compared to how much I like using the program. I use JOverseer exclusively for my games now, and I think it’s great.

I went to the link posted by mscoon, but have a question. Am I supposed to download the latest patch? Or is there an initial program to download, and then get the newest patch afterwards?
