Yes the default is now your nation that you set the game up with - saves the odd "click" to get to your order screen

I think this has been updated since...
Char (adv) tab. *Used to* default to All. Then we would filter for a nation and that nation would display - and recently - freeze. Filter again, no changes. Stuck with the original filter.

Update it (Help - Check for Updates).
The Char tab issue that you are describing was something I experienced also - but it has been solved … for me…
Meanwhile, I just checked for updates again, got one - and it reset all the tabs to the installation default. Please find a way to leave me my configuration~!

Okay, after Update I chose Launch Application. I ran the update from the Application help menu. Now I had 2 of them running…
Closed both, restarted and my configuration was all there. Phew.
But went back to Help and Check for Updates - and I could have repeated myself all over again. Need to ID whether a required update is available, not just “the latest file”…

Okay if I'm in playtesting mode:
Where do you change the nation, what options do you pick, what as a user do you do. For me under Orders tab I can swap between the nations at will and there's no issue.

It should automatically update so you don't actually need to click update all the time and we'll tell you when

Yeah, the defaulting to the nation played is a great feature, but you don't seem to be getting the issue. As simply as possible, when you change the nation the first time, the character list changes to the newly selected nation, but when you change the nation a second time, the character list does not change, ever. Â
