Been a while on this one. For anyone who has played a 1 week game before but bitched and moaned about neutrals ending the game early - my last 3 2 week games ended on turn 6, 8 and 10 respectively - in this one Turn 19 just ran and from where I sit, there doesn’t appear to be an end in sight…
Harad and Corsairs conspired to go Dark early, the other 3 got wind of it and jumped FP immediately. We now have a North vs South battle and the front looks more like a Sitzkreig than a war. This might go on a long time folks…better avoid the 1 weekers from here on out, they’re always “ruined”…
Well, the FP are getting a smack down. 2924 falls and we’re able to move beyond that. We’re winning the agent war, we’re winning the emissary war. We started with the mages and have them up to speed. We have armies on key pops moving forward and the Free aren’t able to enter our homeland, they’ve been blocked outside our key offenses.
Turn 21 has run. Lots more game left, if you can stand it…
More pops turn to the Dark Side. More Phreepie heroes die. The little dots on the map are gradually, but very steadily, changing colour. The more that are my colour, the happier I am. To concede defeat is to deny me happiness. Many thanks to all my friends on the Phreepie side for allowing me great pleasure week after week~!
Pelargir falls. More DS armies alarmingly around the Noldo homeland, of all places. More Large armies around Mordor disappear. More FP pops fall with barely a scratch against the DS. Most FP would have conceded by now, alas, these folks are stoically slogging onwards to their ultimate destruction. It’ll come. We’ll turn the East completely in a couple weeks and move into the Eoplex in force. The Anduin is entirely Dark and SG will start to feel some renewed pain. We haven’t been kicked out of the far north mountains and we’ll start appearing in various new areas as our power continues to expand.
We kept together. No fights or spats, no drops or replacements, nobody left the yahoogroup, etc. It was looking grim through t15-18 and then we claimed a superior position - there was no victory for the FP after that point.
Forgot about the Dog Lord…and you gripe and grumble all the time. You tried to eliminate yourself, alas, Khamul stumbled drunkenly onto a pair of lousy train robbers and saved your nation from bankruptcy. I think you dove naked into the cold stream after that, haven’t stopped smiling…very odd…
Seb, I played Fire and really wasn’t your nemesis as much as I was simply the schwerpunkt for the glorious DS machine. I do admit to having uncanny timing on my dragon encounters when bumping into your armies though…hope to see you in the next game.
