then no problem for winter station.

anyway... There is no answer. The length of the seasons is
doubled. If its such a hardship that you won't play a winter
game in the best of times, then, well, don't sign up for
139...just start marching for those 1 week games in March..!

Not sure if there is a solution needed for the "long" winter problem
in 1 wk games. If I remember right, 131 started in the middle of
winter (I was the Drunken Mumakrider, ie. Harad, so it really did not
hurt me ;-), and the DS managed to make it through the winter without
collapsing or even stealing gold off me! In the end, the DS won that
game. Players can consider it a balancing force for all the
advantages that the DS enjoy in the 1650 scenario (i.e. dragons,
better characters, nice narrow passes to defend etc etc).
Yes it is a challenge, but has been done. Perhaps those DS "experts"
(the ones that only play DS... you know who you are! should give
1 wk winter games a shot. Consider it a challenge.

* I was more talking about 2950 as that's what I play. Winter DS economies
are not fun at all.
