10k dragon recruiting

Hi,

In one game I have an encounter with a dragon which cost 10k gold to recruit. I don’t have that amount in treasury, but with natsells I get that amount. Now the react to encounter is order 285, and the natsell is order 325. So basically I should not be able to recruit the beast, but my ME instinct tells me that somehow the dragon collects the gold AFTER natsell, as I seem to have some sort of lost memory of having done that before.

Can anyone please clarify id this is the case, or if this is just wishful thinking. Can you recruit a 10k dragon without that amount in treasury ?

Why don’t you ask a team mate?

What happened to your reply Ed ?

But anyway, I already have asked my teammates…

But as you know some of my team-mates suffers from severe paranoia as a result of a combination of having done hardcore NAM time and secondly for being pre-historic. So when I start to hear wired stories on how special US divisions used dragons in secret opps, to inflict heavy casualties on charley, then I seek alternative options fro help……

Good luck to you Kim.

Thanks Ed,
But if you know the correct answer, then feel free to enlighten us. Maybe you have a team-mate that could use that answer as well, which could help your team ?

Gratitude is the most perishable of emotions. Often you just aggrivate envy and resentment.

It’s true though. C47 with miniguns, ‘Puff the Magic Dragon’ inflicted awesome damage on night missions. It’s funny to think such a usually innocuous aircraft could be modified so well. Development of the concept, led to the now infamous A10 wart hog.
Let me check a couple of things and i’ll get back with my take on the dragon/treasury issue.

Adrian,

Don’t forget the c130 spectre gunship…

Beautiful piece of machinery, that…grin

That’s Spooky

OK, I have it on good authority that dragons don’t accept credit.

I have recruited many dragons in my time and not one has ever taken credit and I have tried that. Sometimes I lived, sometimes I died trying. I think it is because they do not have a way of collecting if you do not pay after you leave the encounter.
