All: I’ve just picked up the Corsairs in this game as a drop out position. The icons are still neutral. I have no idea whose playing this game. I’ve had the pdf that just ran, 7/14 and the one before that.
Anyone who wants to chat or clue me in on what’s going on, please post an address here or drop me a line at: jshushan@aol.com.
I have no idea what’s happening except for the two pdfs. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
Jonathan - just sent you an email. Corsairs was played by Sven. Don’t know what happened. He was DS for all intents & purposes (look at your relations). Welcome to the DS team!
Dave (Duns)
Well… Let’s look at the strategic situation at this time: Easterlings & Rhu are FP (they are virtually untouched and have built up all game). Harad and Corsairs are DS (they are virtually untouched and built up until a couple turns ago when they went on the offensive). Duns went DS early and has paid the price - <sob, mutter, & self pity>. So it’s actually pretty even split of newts at this time. Add to that that WK and DrgL are severely hurt on DS side and NG is increasingly hurt on FP side, and what we have here is a pretty even game.
Perhaps, but having both southern neutrals and the Duns on us is quite taxing.
The Duns declaration was especially painful for myself, having a two to three front war is not NG’s idea of a good time!! And to think I almost had Barad Ungol too!!!
Superior play?? Maybe now, but for the first few turns you guys were in trouble…but ME has that tendency to flip flop…I’ll be back…and with a vengeance baby!!!
Fletch, you need to define “in trouble”. As I recall, we repelled every one of your assaults early on in the game, in the pass AND at Morannon. It is not the presence of enemy troops that spells trouble, it is what those troops do. The NW is a different story, as it usually is. All other things being equal, we’ve never been in trouble. In the Mordor arena, we’ve yet to lose any pop centers of consequence.
In fact, I daresay it is only now, with the FP “outnumbered” as you put it, that we are facing any true challenges in the Mordor area. The might of the Easterlings has been quite a boon to the Free and we are now facing battles on three fronts instead of two.
Great fight outside the North Gate! Three Dragons! There was much carnage!
"It was a battle of the great Wyrms! Three dragons participated in the combat at 3119:
After the battle had joined in earnest, heroes made their presence known all over the battlefield. Scorba (a great red dragon) thundered toward his opponents, smashing those who opposed him with his talons while crushing others with his huge swinging tail! Celdrahil burst forth with a blood curdling yell and rushed to meet whatever foes would face his glowing Sword. Krûsnak rode into the enemy ranks with his glowing Sword and cut down a score of foes before they knew what had happened. Bulrakur burst forth with a blood curdling yell and rushed to meet whatever foes would face his glowing Bola. Smaug (a great red dragon with what looked like golden scales) swept toward his opponents laying down a fiery breath that scorched all in its terrible path! Itangast (a huge dragon with blue tipped black scales and long silvery horns) smashed into his opponents and killed them quickly and efficiently with both talon and spell!"
Apparently the Eothraim commander She-Ra preferred to be eaten by Smaug than face another day in the army. Pity, too…I had plans for her.
A big HI to Rhudaur from the WK.Nice to see you havent fallen asleep in the last 12 turns.I do hope you are up to the challenge of defeating me with only the woodmen, arthie, dwarfs and cardolan to help you
I have had fun hanging on for dear life in the far north but it looks like it is all over for me up here.
I may soon have fewer pops than N Gondor which would be really upsetting so time for a move I think.

WK
ps you boys really should have had your flu shots,Atchoo… oops another dead freep.
Actually, we had quite the beatdown coming into Mordor, but you guys got all itchy and dropped the bridge. I would have cleared Ungol and then the follow on troops would have been inside. Combined with the Easterling offensive it would have been a hurtin’
But the past is the past so it happens. I’m still clinging to life and its taken several of your nations to do what you have done, not too mention that my ally in SG is currently tied up with the southerns, so its like what…2 against 7 or so (IK, Dark LT, FK, Cors,Harad, Duns,LR,CL are at least the forces I have seen, also guest appearances from Murazor and Dendra at one point)…not great odds for us but you still have along way to go to kill us…keep trying.
You may be hurting us, but you really havent done much elsewhere, so better watch your backs!!
so true. so true. but that’s why we chose the Dark Side! We Duns LOVE pain…
I must point out that the Duns starting cav force is STILL riding & destroying… you guys need to do better in your attempts to get rid of it.
And don’t count your chickens regarding the Dunlending capital. Let’s see… 3 freep armies camping outside roasting 'smores. One little freep emissary on a shoddy wooden pulpit preaching to the walls… Did you think that we wouldn’t be able to sneak the caravans in and out the back gate? Oh yeah! you put the elves in charge of watching the back gate. Thanks!
