You might be aware that I tried a different method of setting up game 227 to
226 (2950 in both cases). All other things being equal (which clearly they
are not but close enough) game 227 was filled twice as quickly as 226. (One
month compared with 2 months - and this included the Christmas break).
So I intend to fill such smaller player base games by the alternate method.
Ie send me a list of nations that you want to play. When I get to 25
nations I will allocate the nations to you. Any thoughts on this? (1650
1wk, 2950 2wk, Variant games all will be using this method from now on.
1650 normal will be 1st come 1st serve as they fill up reasonably quickly
anyway). I require at least 3 choices per player and if joining as a team
then I need it that you don't just swop around the nations.... 
With that in mind is there a desire for players to play a 3week game? I
have a small base of players interested in this at present.
