Okay this is a gripe, whine, bitch, moan.

How many people have seen a game start with North Gondor getting their whole navy and navy commander killed on turn ONE by Sauron?

Please be honest because to me this is a joke for one reason only,

I do not think the DS can have something like this happen to them on turn one.

please some one fill me in???

Thanks in advance,

William

New one to me – would have thought the Sauron encounter would start to happen around turn 4 or 5 the same time as the dragons usually come out to play !!

Treat it as an “Act of God”. The British army that burned Washington DC was mighty disconcerted when a tornado swpt through their army killing more Brits than the Americans did. The only tornado in Washington history. It was as if God was punishing the Brits.

Didnt the American’s hear the deep voice that was everywhere saying ‘Godamm,
I missed’? There was as many Americans fighting on the British side as
against them, atleast that was what I was taught at high school in Atlanta.

Sauron can drop into a few places T1; the dwarves i’ve seen happen to twice, he can also appear in a DS start up handing out bonus’s. Gandalf can make life not good for the DS also is nice to Freep teams. It’s all dumb random luck just like the dragons, they float around a few hex locations for short periods of time.

Re-recruit, burn the bridge, take the losses. SG can be there next turn, you’ll get over it
Just remember each DS troop they have, they have to pay for…

I’ve been nailed with Eagles so many times in the NW I can’t count them. Disbanding armies, reducing them to shells. Just bad luck

Happened in one of my Elven games, navy was wiped out on turn one by Sauron, crap happens,
