2950 vs 1650

Or to put it more topically, 2950 is Figure Skating, 1650 is Icehockey

They're different. Vote on your preference in a poll,
but don't stake a claim that one is "better" or
"worse" than the other and then try to "prove" it.
What rubbish. Each to their own. I enjoy both, on
different days. Then there's WoTR, supposedly 2950
suped up to 1650 levels? Might have to try that one
day...

It's perfectly reasonable for people to state a preference and argue
the reasons for that preference (or why one thinks it is better) for
the benefit of those who may not have tried, or tried adequately,
both scenarios.

Not quite. It's 2950 with some tweaks designed to more accurately
reflect the book. That includes some DS hordes poised to pour out of
Mordor, some character tweaks and some more pops - not to 1650 levels
though. The description of the variant on
http://www.middleearthgames.com/modvar.html#wotr is misleading. The
WotR pdf does not appear to be on the ME site, but I can send it to
anyone who e-mails me direct.

Such comparisons are essentially meaningless. Those who like the various
scenarios specifically like them because they are different. Bascially,
EVERY scenario is better than ANY other, depending on which one you like.

And for the record, I don't like figure skating, ice hockey, wine, or
novelty cocktails. I like football (American style) and I like beer (any
style).

yea they are different Brad.

Checkers vs. Chess.

if you dont like 2950 because its harder then i understand.

if you like a challenge then play the harder formats.

4th age and 2950

In my humble opinion of course.
