I have so far seen two replies to my last comment on this thread, and I
feel that I can honestly say that the people replying did not read my
comments through as they replied to quotes out of context picking on half a
paragraph and ignoring the rest.
They seem to have entirely missed what I was saying.
Some apects of the game are linked, you alter one and you have to alter
others because someone will always be able to come up with something that
should be changed and why it should, and why it is required by the last
change that was improved.
I clearly say there are holes in my market & transport reasoning, so what
happens, someone has to reply saying here is a hole and this is what it
is.....
Oh well, I've witten enough for now, I amost started a novel here, but I
think my time would be better spent getting some sleep before I go to work
in 4 hours:)
Nick.

Yup, this has been said before, but it is an important observation. Any
changes have to be part of a wholesale review and rebalancing of the
game. BUT that does not mean that you shouldn't make changes. Some of
the ideas suggested would have big knock on consequences, some small,
and some would have consequences unforeseen until playtesting.

Well, I'm afraid that that is always going to happen if you put up a
flawed argument. What you're saying is that you know your own argument
to be less than perfect. What someone else is saying, is that your
"holes" are bigger than you suggest, and that they my in fact be big
enough to invalidate what you say. When you've got more holes in your
jeans than denim, you've got a rag, not a pair of trousers!
