The Prchcar order comes before the NatSell order. Does this mean that I cannot sell one product in order to use the profit from the sale to buy another in the same turn? Thanks in advance to anyone who reads and answers this.

Correct you cannot use your sell order to make a buy.
BUT…YOU CAN use your turnsheet revenue from taxes and gold production to buy a product with and then use your sell order to cover your maintenance costs.
I.E. you revenue is 15400 and your maintenance is 17000.
You can spend up to 15400 to do a purchase with.
YOU MUST NatSell/SellCar enough product to cover your 17000 deficit.
So if you were buying say 5000 gold worth of Mithril for a buyout, you need to sell enough product you cover an adjusted 22000 maintenance as you borrowed from your revenue.
Hope that helps

Yes that helps; thanks. If I understand correctly, it sounds like you can go bankrupt off a Purchase order–that is if you purchase with maintenence money and then don’t have enough to cover your adjusted maintenence cost. Is that right?
Christian, caution is advised. It is possible to go bankrupt with gold in your treasury. The computer makes more than one tax raise check during the turn. I have personally witnessed two high PRS players do this, one American and one Brit.
Something like this: The player starts the turn with gold in his treasury. He has 10,000 timber at a pop cente which he wishes to sell (320). But he makes an error on his orders and gives 315 (buy) on his order form. He further natsells something because he really wanted a pile of gold. The turn gets processed and he goes bankrupt with gold in his treasury.
Somewhere beteern 316 and 319 the computer is keeping track of what the taxes would increase to if NO sells were made. If these would go to 100 plus then the player is bankrupt even if subsequent sells provide lots of gold. Now the taxes do NOT go up if this situation would only have resulted in a theoretical case of a tax increase to , say, 88.
So, be cautious.
Weird so if I have only 1 Mtown to my name and a running deficit this coming turn of 20k gold with 0 gold in the bank then I will definitely be going out of the game even if I have 10,000 mithril I could sell or something??
You might if you also bought 5,000 food.
Christian, just noticed you had edited your original question. The NM may buy and sell a commodity at a profit on the same turn. Go overboard at your own risk. If that answers your question.
HI Ed. You might have just saved me from bankruptcy. If I understand correctly, then in the example above, even if the guy bought only one food, he would still go bankrupt. Is that right? Thanks for your help.
Christian: Maybe. Give me a private message with the details and I can give you a more informed answer. Good luck.
Christian: Don’t buy so much as a wilted flower.
