How possible is it for Harlequin to arrange a "ME game weekend"?
What I mean is a sorta Con where players can sit down and play ME around
the clock.
We have done this over Christmas - a one dayer - but plans are afoot for
this to be a twice yearly event with weekends. I have to chuck my wife out
for the weekend - although she might see that as a bonus. There is plenty
of kipping space (easily 15 people). Generally the GMs would play as it is
a tad boring doing 20 hours of inputting...
We can't do it at the con and having played with stuff I can get the
printouts twice as fast at a small drop in quality (the maps are not quite
as good and there are not pictures -but no-one should mind that). We did
7-8 turns in 13 hours - but I think we could halve that. I would probably
prefer to get the game started before hand and then start the weekend around
turn 6. That way the game might end by the end of the weekend.
For the one-day event we charged 2.50 a turn for the 1st position and 2.25
for the second. Everyone had a great time I think and there was an
excellent atmosphere all round. The rushed aspect of the game was fun - no
edits were allowed as it would take too long to sort them out but nothing
major happened to bother about anyway I think.
We would probably get some sort of varient - with a pubmeet organised for
Julyish after the April 15th con I could do something either before that or
after it. Any takers?

I know that this is question raise many other:
When is it possible to be held?
Where can it be held?
How much should it cost?
How should you solve the problem with the turns/computers?
How will you organize it?
How do you solve the problem with sleeping places?
Is Harlequin interested of holding such Con?
Are the players interested of spending a weekend at this Con?
Can sponsoring be solving many of these problems? And looking at these questions I think of some GM questions aswell:
What is the line of processing? Reciving -> Input -> Processing ->
Printing -> Mailing?
How much time does it take to process 25 orders?I would gladly pay a moderate amount of money to play ME, "Live", with
the other players directly. All the best
