I just noticed that we are perhaps the most quiet game around.
Hello darkies… Thanks for letting us in to see the house. Mordor does seem oddly warm for this time of year.
Are there any of you left???
See ya,

ice king and qa still here. doing my best on a quiet side to knock a few of you guys around…sigh…lost cause? Im not too sure…
Hi there DS
I only joined the Freeps cos it looked like you guys had it in the bag! Corsairs, Harad and Rhudaur going Dark, I thought I was joining a lost cause when my screaming hordes of hillmen joined the ranks of the Free.
Don’t quit yet…I’ve got a few victory conditions to get to stop yet another Noldo victory…
cheers

Good heavens, you thought that we were a lost cause when you joined us? (Hey, whatever works. Glad to have the help, even if it pains me to hear it.) The strategy we took wasn’t glamorous but it was methodical. The idea was to keep ratcheting up the pressure until we heard the splintering of bones. Chris kept them south of 3120, the Gondors hammered into the westgate and burned the Fire King and Dark Lts. capitals, and Morannon fell to a combined assault from Northern Gondor, Northmen, Dwarves, and Sinda shortly thereafter. Meanwhile we overwhelmed Rhudaur and the Witch King with sheer volume of troops (nice sneak attack by Rhuduar), and the Dragon Lord was hounded out of existence.
As for Harad and Corsairs, once their navies are at the bottom of the sea, they’re not that dangerous. There’s no good way for them to get their raw military power into battle once the navies are gone.
I felt we were doing well from the beginning, but my perspective seems to run counter to the modern viewpoint (I didn’t play for several years) because I’m not in a hurry. Apparently the current view is that the Free cannot win if they don’t win quickly. I disagree; but I’ve been on the giving and recieving end of Free agent companies where the Free established agent dominance in several games-- usually around turn 25. But I’ve also been in games that lasted two and three years, so maybe my experiences aren’t typical. (I’ve also been in very brief games too.)
It’s been a good game so far, though I think I can hear a few more bones splintering. Give that C-Clamp another few turns, would you Argleb?

my team gave up…
Are you saying your team has given up and last turn is the last which will be run??? OR are you saying they gave up recently and now just a few of you will be fighting it out???
Thanks for the info.
See ya,
Ken
as far as clint was telling me, me and another were the only ones left, the rest dropped so i dropped too. i have not heard if the last one dropped either. i got the message the day we got our turns. it was looking good too.

Just wanted to give my well wishes to our erstwhile foes. I’m glad you’re dead, but it was a fun game.
