Hello
I hope people dont mind me mentioning another pbm I am
currently trying and enjoying. It is called war of
the dark god, and has some similarities to MEPBM,
being a fantasy wargame between two prealigned sides,
with each side consisting of 8 nations, each with
different strengths and weaknesses. The game is close
ended (24 turns max) and runs over email or UK
Snailmail.
First impressions are that
- it scores highly by having lots of different
terrain specific troop types
- the game has a very nice 'flavour' to it, maybe
even as nice as MEPBM
- Positions seem slightly more static that in MEPBM,
and I dont think it will offer quite as many
opportunities for dynamic team play
Flagship recently carried an extensive review of the
game. The GM is Wayne Morris, and is contactable at
titan.pbm@virgin.net
I appreciate that message doesnt really fit to the
group subject matter. Apologies should this improper
Group-use have caused offence.
Best wishes
Mike
