Accounts for Deft players

This sounds stupid, but did you try your credit card number without spaces? If it reads your number wrong it wont say anything like incorrect number format, it will just decline you.

Eric in Maryland here ... hello everyone.

I attempted to pay $40 into my account with my VISA card, using their
secure web service (site), but after entering my personal information 3
times and being declined, I sent an e-mail to Harlequin and Clint >offered

to enter the infornation for me. I sent him my info and he eas able to
charge the $40 without difficulty.

No format is indicated on the site; ie "0000-0000-0000-0000", "0000 0000 0000
0000", etc...
Most sites a smart enough to anticipate the varies legitimate formats one might
enter (especially
given the fact that none is provided!) How hard is it be to strip out the first
16 numeric
characters and catenate them together ? (answer: not very)

But yes, Winn, I entered the number twice in the format "0000000000000000". The
third time
I believe I tried "0000 0000 0000 0000" (as it appears on my card sans
dashes). The rest
of the fields were address, phone, etc, ... but now you've got me wondering
about the
expiration date ... was it formatted via combo box, or free text ... maybe I'll
try again after
my initial $40 is used up ...
