This might sound like a daft question but . .
If an agent guards location or character does that guard still affect things
if the agent is killed at the 615 order?

Depends. Same-number orders go off randomly, so let's say:
A guards B (605)
C tries to assassinate A
D tries to assassinate B.
If C goes first, A will be assassinated before D's attempt, so wouldn't
be around to guard for that. If D goes first, A will still be
guarding B.
(The proper course of action here for the attacker is to have C
assassinate A and then D kidnap B...)
Guarding location (against sabotage, bridge-breaking, gold theft)
happens well after 615/620 so all those will be resolved before
any of the attempts on location take place. Ditto artifact theft
(685 is well after 615/620).
