I think that the problem most players have with agents is the ability
of all agents to assassinate characters. This has too big of an
effect on the game and is not realistic. Let's face it, in reality
how many burglars/saboteurs wake up one morning and say "gee, I'm a
fairly good burglar, maybe I should switch to army commander
assassination now (and of course vice versa). Also for those
interested in the story behind the game, how many army commanders (or
characters) were assassinated in the story?
Really would change things, but maybe characters (agents only) should
have an assassination rank. Maybe it could work kinda like mage
spells (and could apply to all agent orders - the agent has to learn
the skill and then gets better at it as they use it - some skills
would be harder to learn than others). This rank would only improve
separate from the characters agent rank - need a new order for
prenticing and assassinations would only improve the agent's
assassination rank not their agent rank. Certain nations nations
agents could automatically start with an assassination rank.
I disagree.... It's more like an "evolution/promotion" thing. In stealing and sabotage, u hone your stealth skills. Why can't that apply to assassination ? I do believe agents should be handled, but in a minor way to balance the gama further. As it is, the DS have a good advantage. But as I said before, any changes in such a quintessential part of the game should be studied tirelessly as to not shift the balance to FPs. A 1650 no assassination scenario is HOPELESS to DS. There's just not enough dragons =PPP
