Agents

Is it possible for an agent to execute himself?
In a game where I am playing the Dwarves I sent an agent into a Cloud Lord
pop centre. Trying to divert his attentions away from Northern Gondor where
he is having a far too successful time. I told him what I was doing, (he's
a good friend of mine) but obviously not who or where. The day the turn was
due in we were playing bidge and he was wondering where I had sent said
agent and who it was. He reckoned it was *******, I nearly dropped my
cards, he had correctly guessed the agent name. Two days later he rang and
gloating asked whether execute orders came before hostage escape attempts.
I was resigned to losing an agent. The next week I told him he would be
doing me a great favour as I was at the maximum of characters and badly
needed another commander. He resolved to help me in this matter. A week
later the turn sheets revealed my agent had ecaped from being held hostage.
Nation messages revealed that a public execution had taken place. Curious,
I seem to recognise that name. A look back at the previous turn sheet
revealed that the character executed was the agent who had captured my
agent. Did he fall on his own sword? Or did the Cloud Lord agent execute
himself? The Cloud Lord is not answering his phone, so I cannot gloat or
find out the truth. Or perhaps that should be Clod Lord.
