Subject: Re: naming chars
all orders that can kill characters happen before the naming orders.
if you try to name, it checks if you have a slot at that time.

Does anyone know when the character limit is checked? I.E. mynation
has 21 guys. Can I attempt to name new characters against the chancethat
other characters will die, even though my turn sheet says no newcharacters
are available?

Sorry, but just to be antagonistic, this is not technically true, I can
think of three circumstances, two of em easy & one from the 'top shelf'.
where characters can die after all the naming orders........
That should make some people think.........

Em orders? 949 is all there is after 734...I've done it a few times,
never failed, what happens - the mob rises up and lynches you if they
don't want to be given away?

Ooh, I love puzzles. Here ya go:
1) Retire Character order (740)
2) Move navy into hostile encounter (sea serpents, pirates, storms etc.)
sufficient to cause disbanding
3) Move army into hostile encounter which kills character (s) - ex.
Sauron
4) Army overrun during movement
5) Character has hostile encounter (spirits) and dies
6) Cast second spell (825 and/or 940) causing sufficient health loss to
kill character
Any others?
