American Bashing

As a Canadian, it is part of our national identity to
bash our neighbours to the south. As a new member of
an international gaming community, I see it is the 2nd
truly international sport. I would imagine it all
began when the American reconfigured the first truly
international sport and desecrated the name.....or at
least it got really heated at that point.......

But, it's getting a little much.

Richard, Gavin, Laurence, thank you all for some
interesting a valid points and opinions. The Americans
would mutter about their armed forces saving the
society in which you are able to voice them, but that
will lead us nowhere so let me get it over with here.

It's really about feeling better about yourselves NOT
for what good about you or your country, but what's
not good about others' and/or their country. This is
all quite, oh, Laurence would have good words for it...

Me?

I'm just bitter that nobody picked up my shift. My
hockey game is about to begin across town, and I sit
here reading all of this while I "work"..........

How about all the Americans sign up for the next 1 week
1650 games as Free Peoples, all the "United Kingdomers"
sign up as DS, and me and the Scandinavians sign up
as neutrals? <no aussies...sorry din..>

We can settle this once and for all in a more MEPBM
context.......would that make everyone happy?

Regards,

Brad Brunet

Sorry, but I had to chime in here ...

Team USA, in the (Brit-adminstered) World Champs is 1-0, and after 3 turns
looking alot like 2-0 (if somehow that doesn't work out as expected, don't
quote me, I'll deny I said it:). I'd say we're "settling" this just fine,
thanks ...

Yeah, I'd like it even better if it were a 1-weeker than a 2-weeker ... then
we could get to thrashing the Aussies, Scandinavians, Germans, et. al. ...
but kicking a little Brit tail will have to do for now.

Where's Team Canada, anyway? :):)
