I maybe have had another fallout with Clint and the guys(not their fault rella)
I got married on the 31st to a lovely english lass, may my scottish ancestors smile and not bid me harm.
Sent orders but no confs which I couldnt check until it was too late anyway… so thatsd it… Ive been in 2 gunboat, still running 3 nations. One at tunr 46 the other well its best not to say… But am dropping, SS isnt my thing and puts you back 3-4 turns if you’re planning in advance. The others, ME 82, Ach well G man I love you man… but you were ruled by Brad(fax, etc… whatever) and he is a great player who Ive known for an age… you dint have to sabotage me man though… The WK is still there which was the main poingt… Takes the focus offf Mordor… Whats turn are we on now??? I knew Id die… The idea was to survive and be a pain… Who now When the DS come into theor own midgame regain power in the NW… Shame no-one but I saw that. Andy W and I had that plan early on…
Sorry to go on but this may be my farewell to ME Games… and MEPBM. I play WAR and LOTRO too. Kept all going but I asked for an extexnsion and didnt get it… No probs rules are rules… Got marries 31st and havent bin on pc since 30th… My bad not ME Games… So good luck to you all guys. maybe see you on LTRO or not… Have fun, Alan J.
Always sad to see players go, even though Clint says the player base is still strong I have been unable to convince any old time players or new players to join this game.
Alan, maybe take a hiatus for a while and revisit the thought of playing in a year or so after the marriage thing sets into standard life.
I don’t think we have ran across each other yet in games, but good luck. I hope to see your name on the forum in the future.
Alan , Sorry to see you go , Don’t think we gamed together yet , I married and English lass also and do like I do – don’t tell her how many games you are in – if she asked I am only playing 4 games right now
I took about a 10 year break and am back playing casually now. 2 games is tops for me now. I am also in LOTRO on the Brandywine server. Marriage brings new priorities into light, but you will probably catch the urge to join back again in the near future.
Congrats on the marriage! As an American, I don’t get to see many British lasses, but I did encounter two such lasses in their last year of studying to be librarians while we were crossing the Channel. Uh, that is best for another story <wink>. In any case, best of luck!
Congradulations Alan on your new bride… I have also been frustrated many times… One game In particular I started the game with 2 SS’s… But Now some 20+ turns i’m on top… But take a break enjoy married life… You may come back after most have forgot your name… it’s like starting all over again then the fun begins again!
