artefacts in combat

Hello,

I have a mage with a combat artefact traveling with an army. Last turn he casts a combat spell in a fight with another army.

On my turn battle report, it clearly describes the spell cast, however it makes no mention of the combat artefact he is carrying. Should there not have been a line saying xyz throttled his ennemy with his eye gauger… ?

Did the artefact contribute to the fight?
I sure hope so!

(Is this a bug like with pc battles when spells and combat artefacts are not described in battle reports?)

Your mage added both the artifact and the spell to the army combat. The battle report only mentions the spell and not the artifact. Be grateful, it reduces the chance the enemy may steal the artifact.

Followup question:

is the following correct about characters with combat artefacts:

a army commander : arti will always show on battle report (true/false)
a character traveling with army ; arti will always show up on battle report (true/false)
an army commander who also casts spell, arti will NOT show up on battle report (true/false)
a charaacter traveling with army who casts spell, arti will NOT show up on battle report (true)

in a battle with pc, arti never shows up (true false)

any other cases?

In a battle with a PC, only the 1 paragraph battle report as you’ve seen it ever appears (true…).

Characters are only mentioned 1 time per battle report. Spell orders are before actual combat orders, thus the mage shows up casting a spell but not screeching around with his sword. Anyone else with or leading the army will follow this simple order sequence…
