If you loose a character to a dragon in a regular encounter, will the dragon keep/pickup the characters artefacts, or will drop to the ground?
Any help is really appreciated!

My understanding that the dragon keeps the Artifact but they could drop it also, never know a dragon drop an artifact sometimes it’s the best way to find an artifact after he eats you’re charecter. Happy Hunting

Thanks for the answers, but you both sound like educated guesses, and not something that you have actually seen yourself?
Has anyone any hard evidence of this, and would like to share it, I really would make my day.

If you’re killed in an encounter, the artifacts drop to the ground. (I’ve seen this myself).
If you hand the artifacts to the dragon in the encounter, then the dragon has them. (I’ve NOT seen this myself, but it’s my understanding).
If you challenge the dragon and die, then they end up with the dragon (unless you were in a company, in which case another company member has them-- just like any other challenge). (I’ve seen this myself).
