Asking for opinions on pre-allied neutrals

In the past we would allow allied players to take up Neutrals but now I
check into the situation (or worse still Neutral and aligned friend). We
try and discourage that as despite players saying that they will not be
aligned - 70-80% (guesstimate) are allied.

As for players taking up positions allied together from a close family
connection - we are wary of such things. We have found at least one
circumstance where this was blatant cheating. Ie the positions, despite
the one player consistently denying it, was found to be subserviant to the
other position (eg transferring of PCs to win that sort of thing). Also
there was no contact with the one player of the duo at all - another
indication of such conduct. Emailing at similar times, same hand-writing
(same colour pen). None of these points are 100% indications but they do
raise the old eyebrow.

Hi Mike,

As you know, my son William and I frequently take positions in the same
game. I don't see anything wrong with this, provided those positions are
of
the same alignment, any more than I see anything wrong with a single player
playing two positions of the same alignment.
