AutoMagic 2003a problems

SEND SHEET BLANK: I have no idea what could be causing this. There were
two reports of this, but I think they were both from the same person?
(David, is that correct?) In any event, I can't duplicate this problem,
nor has anyone else reported it. My first "shot-in-the-dark" suggestion
would be to press CTRL+HOME on your keyboard to make certain the sheet
is displaying from the top. After that, I would suggest another
download, in case something got corrupted in your first download. If
neither of these things work, let me know the following info:

- Operating System & version
- Excel version

DUE DATE INCORRECT: For those of you who have had the problem of the
date not displaying correctly, are all of you using a regiona/language
setting other than English? If any of you ARE using English and still
getting this problem, let me know. In any event, you'll need to manually
set the due date using the drop-down list. I don't think I can get Excel
to recognize a non-English text date and convert it. At least I don't
know of any way to do it.

WON'T IMPORT XML: This problem was addressed earlier. After you do a
DELETE & IMPORT, it should go away. I'm trying to fix this for the next
revision of Automagic, which fix any small bugs found and will likely be
released as an optional upgrade. (You could still use AM2003a if you
wanted.)

Any other issues I missed?

Hi Mike

I've already mailed Harlequin with these problems, but here they are
again:

1) Name and account isn't automatically updated (actually it gets
deleted when importing the xml-info)

2) When I 'delete & import data' I have to update/import scenario
info. Is it really necessary to do this _every_ turn ? And doesn't
the arty-list get initialized ?

The name and account info gets overwritten by the info contained within
the XML file. If your name & account info is getting overwritten, it is
most likely the XML file's data that's in error, though I couldn't be
certain without looking at the file. I am currently in games 43, 147,
and 149. If the XML file is not from one of these games, you might
consider sending me a copy at urzahil@orions.net

2) When I 'delete & import data' I have to update/import scenario

This should only happen the FIRST time, after you load the new file. Are
you deleting the Artifact data in your file after you delete/import?
This is basically what Automagic looks at to determine whether or not
you have a blank (new) file. If there is no artifact data in the open
file, then Automagic will think it's a new file and make you set it up
first.

Mike

Thanks Mike, I'll try these.

Ken, thanks for the advice. However, all the other macros seem to be working
OK.

If this is what I think, its due to being scrolled off too far to the right.

Hit the nav bar and scroll left.

Hi Ulrik

I bet this is with game 39. I have that problem too. I think its game specific.

Sam

Just checked.
Yes, only G39 have that problem.. Can anything be done ?

You're right Sam. Control and home, as suggested by Mike, fixed it.

It's not an AutoMagic bug/problem.

It's specific to Gunship games. I have the same in Game36, and
looking at the XML file, it does not have anything in the ACCOUNT
and NAME fields. Most likely because noone should know who plays
what the return files are generated without names so only the GM
knows who gets what.

Okay we'll check game 39 for this and update it for next turn.
