Automagic 2003d protection error

OK, that was just strange. A problem was brought up earlier regarding
the Automagic ORDERS sheet having all the cells write-protected. This
wasn't something I messed with in the lastest rev, so that shouldn't
have happened. However, when I looked they were indeed locked, so I went
in and changed ALL the cells to unprotected, then went back and changed
the formula cells to write-protected.

Well, I thought that fixed the problem, but someone setting up their
game with the 'new' revision said the old problem was still there. Sure
enough, when I checked the posted copy and my working copy, most of the
Required Info cells were write protected. I unprotected all the cells
that should be and saved again. Then just for kicks I closed Excel and
reopened Automagic. Well, damned if some of the cells that I had
unprotected were once again write-protected.

I unlocked them again, and then just for good measure adjusted the Clear
Orders macro to unprotect the entire sheet before doing its thing. After
saving-closing-opening, all the empty cells remained unlocked, so I
THINK this is fixed now, with the new copy uploaded. If someone else has
a problem with locked cells that never used to be locked, please let me
know.

Anyway, the moral of this story is that if you downloaded a copy of
Automagic 2003d prior to August 18th, you likely got one of these bad
copies. (You can tell by the Revision Date on the GAME sheet.)

The other point is a question. Does anyone know what the heck could
cause Excel cells to write-protect themselves??

I'll keep an eye out for this in the future, but if anyone comes a
across a similar problem, let me know ASAP.

Thanks,
Mike Mulka
