Automagic Brad

Thanks for the feedback - very useful.

You might recall that we asked for players to help with the playtesting.
We've run it through a lot of playtests before releasing it. With it being
now open to more players we can fix the other nitty gritty bits. Looking at
the turns coming in though we've now got a bigger and bigger proportion of
our turns using it - so I guess that it's working for most players.

We don't have the budget to pay for massive playtesting over periods of
years. I waited until I thought 99% of items were sorted and then we
released it. I am glad to see that there are minor points that we are
presently sorting out. That's what the feedback is all about. It will
improve as time goes on as well. The more time we free up using this
software the more time we have for project work - I have (at last count) 15
projects that I want to do and we just don't have the time at present.

Revisions will probably occur at a fast rate until we get through some of
the teething problems, clarifications etc. We'll keep you posted about
this.

We're not planning to become web-based. It does not suite most of our
players - as there are charges for being on-line. We'll working on a file
that produces all the game details so that you can load them up at present
as I have discussed in my earlier emails. If you don't find Automagic
useful - don't use it. If you do then feel free to use it. Charges I will
consider and come back to you when I have heard from more than a handful of
our more vocal players.

Thanks

Clint

I missed this. An applet or netlet that functions
off-line would address the on-line charges issue.
However, I think I understand why developing in Excel
is a better option for Harley at this point. I'll
try to make it work.

That's essentially what MEOW would be, no? A stand-alone
that, once you "Send", pumps the orders directly into the
MEPBM computer, no? Can't wait for it, frankly.

Don't become web "based", but certainly keep the internet
option on the projects list...Please!

Brad the cheap Canadian just looking to save some US$...
