Automagic error 429

It looks like the cause of the "Runtime error 429; ActiveX component can't create
object" bug MAY be due to a feature I added sometime around 1.04 that checked to see
if you already had a C:\Temp folder, and if not it will create it. I am informed that
this uses Windows scripting, which is not standard in Windows 95, (though it
apparently is available for download), but is standard in later versions of Windows.

This same feature apparently gives Macs fits because Macs don't use the colon in the
file naming convention(?). If this is true, could someone please explain the Mac file
naming convention to me and give me an example? For example, a Windows file path might
look like this:

C:\My Documents\Games\MEPBM\Game42.pdf

How would this file path look in a Mac environment?

The best way I see to get around this is to REQUIRE you to select a game folder, which
will eliminate the need for the macro to attempt to determine one for you. The I'll
have an attempted fix in the next revision, assuming someone gets back to me with the
Mac file path naming convention.

Thanks to Jenny Gamston for the suggestion, and thanks to all for your patience.

On another note, (as a heads up to everyone), the next revision to Automagic will NOT
be able to auto-transfer data from older revisions. The feature will still be there,
and will work for multiple copies of the next Rev, as well as future Revs. However,
there are too many format and cell location changes in the next Rev for the
auto-transfer to deal with. (You can click the button, but it will crash out to the
macro debug.)

Again, the feature will still be there. You just won't be able to auto-transfer from
Rev 1.07b or earlier to the new Rev.

Thanks,
