Automagic Revision 2003d

I’ve just uploaded Automagic Revision 2003d to the website. There turned out to be many minor fixes to the last official Revision, so I ended up with 4 or 5 different versions of Revision 2003c that just had different dates. To avoid any further confusion, I just went ahead and advanced the Revision number of this latest release.

To download the latest revision, just go to the Middle-earth Games website and click the Automagic download link. (The page may still say “Automagic 2003c”, but the link will take you to the correct Revision regardless.) Alternatively, you can go directly to my MePBM website, which has a couple of options, as well as some other MePBM stuff.

Note that while there have been a few minor bug fixes that have crept into Automagic, none were really critical. That means you could probably live with whichever 2003c version you now have, if you wanted to.

WARNING! You MUST have upgraded to either Automagic Revision 2003c, (any of the revision dates should do), or Revision 2003d in order to use the newly formatted XML files that Middle-earth Games will be sending out. Clint’s last posting said the new XML files will start going out “probably Monday”, August 18th.

As Clint stated, Both 2003c and 2003d will still import the old format XML files, so you can upgrade at any time prior to the deadline.

For those of you that care, 2003d should fix the Stealth bug (which showed the stealth on the incorrect character on the SEND sheet). Note that when you transfer data, the stealth will still show up on the wrong character. The Transfer macro has no way of knowing which character should actually have the stealth, so it defaults to the current one. The next time you Import your XML file, it should fix the problem.

A few other minor bug fixes and enhancements (such as a yellow flag on the order number if you try to issue both 210 and 215 orders) have also been added, but none are critical aside from the new format XML file importing.

Any questions, please let me know.

Thanks,
Mike Mulka
