More importantly…is there anyway to combine AutoMagic and Palantir? Seriously!
OK, it might be a really lazy way to enter orders but do you know how nice it would be if you could click on a character, enter the MovChar order or MovCmpy and then click on the hex you want to go to using the Palantir map. No more “Sorry guys…I entered 3323 instead of 3233.”
OR for army movement (with an auto movement counter). Maybe even show the possible maximum movements for an army on the Palantir map. And no more “Oh,I wanted NE not NW.” or “I forgot about that minor river and did not get there.”
Assassinations now just click on the character reported by Palantir (with the option of entering a non-reported name of course).
Have Palantir show production and stores at each pop center (pop up window) and what nation sells will do to these numbers. No more calaculator work to do a NatSell Leather but make sure there is enough to recruit that 500HC from the capital and 200HC at the village.
Army combat calaculator would be easy. Just click on the armies involved, info automatically entered (with some neccessary guess work…do they have armor, what is their moral, are they downgraded with me, tactics, etc.) and boom…there are the results.
Little hex highlights where your characters are and color coded for if they have orders or not.
And this is just the beginning of the possibilities.
In the far future, maybe even a Grudge version. So the team can enter orders on the same program and send the whole thing into ME at once. It would help team coordination greatly (no more double emmys at camp sites and you can easily coordinate agents).
I am NOT a programmer. I am not even going to pretent to know anything about it. But I do understand such a system would be very complicated (and many possibilities for bugs). But IF such a system could be completed…order entery would never be the same.
Just a thought outside the box.
