I would think it would be fairly easy for MEG to look at their player
database and see who drops when. The last couple of games I have
noticed if the games are not going perfectly (i.e. neutral alignment,
team coordination) at turn 5, you see a lot of drops.
Has anyone else noticed a lack of civility in indie team communications
lately?

Yes we keep a list of players who drop and when, and reasons given. That's partially on the PRS so if you see a note next to them that they've dropped that should give you some information.
