BoFA Tutors

Going to put in one more plug for this. BoFA has
turned out to be a lot of fun, with a great deal of
focus on strategy. The condensed rules do mean fewer
options, but it also means the decisions you make
about where to move your armies become crucial.

I'd recommend it for anyone who wants to pass on
enthusiasm about ME-PBM and is willing to tutor new
players at their own pace.

And as Chris can attest if he's reading this, they can
learn fast!

I completely agree with Dan on this one. BOFA has been great fun and
even though it is a simplified version of the game it's still a nice
challenge (watching Dan steal the one ring off us and then
assassinate Bilbo and Legolas has been very entertaining and more
than a little frustrating). It's been a refreshing change from the
other versions of the game and it's also a very cheap refreshing
change making it even more fun. Thanks Clint.

The new players have been great, they devote a lot of time to the
game and as Dan said they do learn very fast. I strongly advise all
experienced players to have a think about signing up for a game of
BOFA. If any experienced players are interested in signing up but are
concerned the game is not going to be interesting enough then feel
free to send me an e-mail and I can e-mail you copies of some of the
turns so you can see for yourself what the game is like.

Lastly, thanks to Dan and the new player on his team for being such
good opposition in game 114.

Yes I have enjoyed the games I have played in as well - presently playing with a couple of friends new to Middle Earth against my missus and another friend. Great fun. Lots of tactics to try out for me yet...
