As per RD's comments, is this an effort to Replace or Augment the current pdf format...?

Looks great, Bree comes of age. Well done! (And a cracking choice of lead
article
  )

The real test I think will be of the search engine when there are a few
issues up, and I hope that when time allows all past issues will be up, and
searchable.

One small suggestion: The main text font is a little mean. Arial I think,
which gets to be an eyestrain when used at length. Suggest you use a
conventional comfortable book font Times New Roman or similar. An off-white
(provided it's very subtle and plain, just slightly off-white) background
might be good too.

Are we still going to have all the cool artwork? (Always my favourite part
of pdf Bree. I'd hate to see the baby go with the bathwater.)

We don't know yet - that's what we want feedback on amongst others.

It may well be that someone here has the knowhow to help you with that. It
may be something easy like running the repair option from your Windows
CD. What exactly happens when you try to run IE? Do you get an error
message? If so, what does it say? Waht version of Windows are you using?

RD: I won't be able to read it as amongst many problems with my pc,

And no, I can't afford a new pc. I wish!

There are many browsers you can download for free, such as Firefox
(http://www.mozilla.org/)

There is usually a good browser included free on the cover disk of
most PC magazines.

Colin

Laurence, thanks for your commments - and yes, I see your point about
the Polls!

The real test I think will be of the search engine when there are
a few issues up, and I hope that when time allows all past issues
will be up, and searchable.

That would be the plan if and when Bree Online gets the green light.

One small suggestion: The main text font is a little mean.
Arial I think, which gets to be an eyestrain when used at length.
Suggest you use a conventional comfortable book font Times New
Roman or similar.

Sites like this are designed so that the font you view is browser
dependent. In IE you can change the font size by clicking on the View
menu and selecting Text Size. To change the font, select the Internet
Options menu and click on Fonts. I have now included this information
on the site FAQ.

An off-white (provided it's very subtle and plain, just slightly
off-white) background might be good too.

There are many, many options for this sort of thing! The first
background we had was (I thought) really cool. All trees and stuff ,
but quite reasonably Clint decided to go with a plain theme.

Are we still going to have all the cool artwork? (Always my
favourite part of pdf Bree. I'd hate to see the baby go with the
bathwater.)

I can certainly include artwork. A folder containing artwork from past
Brees is fine, and with some aryicles I can include art in the post -
but with directly posted stoires this won't be the case unless the
author contacts me to arrange it (which is also fine).

Colin
