Which is fiction, for all we know, the great man Tolkien never
wrote the FA, so
what's happening in each ME game is FICTION.

I think you misunderstand the letters.

David wrote a story about an event (or events) set in a FA setting. Colin
felt it was a make-believe story. But David said no, the events really did
exist.

And each 2950 or 1650 game isn't true to what Tolkien wrote either (memo to
clint, did any game ever follow the offical book in its final results ?).

And I disagree about what you said about FA. I clearly remember Tolkien
started writing a sequal to the LoTR, which was set 1000 years after the
ring was destroyed. In this story everthing was set around the humans
(elves, dwarves and hobbits were around, but in hiding).

The plot-line was that some humans had decided to worship Sauron, and his
spirit was coming back into the land.

Tolkien stopped his writing. I assume since he couldn't flesh out the plot
into a decent story. I would agree that the actual FA game has nothing to do
with what Tolkien wrote, and its just GSI/Deft making up a new version of
the game.

p.s reading the Deft new bulletin boards. Its curious seeing the number of
letters in each of the three sites. 1650 has the most feedback, then 2950,
then FA a distant third. I wonder what that implies ?
