Seems like the rules cover this:
Right at the beginning of the order details

Orders

---
(Listed in order of Sequence of Events)
4 Receive Production/Revenue/Loyalty
5 Caravan Sells & Buys
6 Transfers
7 Consumption of Food/Maintenance/Morale+

I assume taxation comes under "Revenue" of event 4. That would put it before
Sells/Buys.

Exactly the sort of conflicting opinions I thought this subject would
raise! :slight_smile: In the circumstances I'm looking at, I want to raise
taxation by buying goods. I know this works - the question is whether
my income from sales will be spent on purchasing or (if sales happen
after buys) the money from sales will go into my treasury after the
buys have raised my tax rate.

Anyone else? :slight_smile:
