Cardiff FtF - help needed

Hi

I'm planning on going to the Cardiff FtF in June, but as I live in
Denmark this involvs a bit of travelling. Also, to lower costs I need
to book an airline ticket some time in advance (now).
But in order to book the right ticket (non-refundable, can't change
departure times) I need to know the exact departure times now. And
this depends on how I get from Stansted to Cardiff.

Sounds complicated and confusing ? It is.

So what do I need ? I would very much like a lift from Stansted (or
London area) to Cardiff and back again. This would lower my costs
dramatically, and also make the journey far easier. I would also be
interested in renting a car together with others, who are attending
the FtF, but don't have a way to get to Cardiff.

At the same time I would like to encourage everyone, who haven't
signed up for the FtF yet, to do so. It is an outstanding and fun
event and you get to meet other players and the GM's. Unfortunately
normal mepbm will never be the same again - two weeks between turns
will feel like an eternity

Also we need a few more players to make it happen - so if in doubt:

RD: Ulrik, I won't be going myself, but I can find out the train times and fares if you wish.

If you get a train from Stansted to Birmingham, then Birmingham to Cardiff, that will be cheaper than travelling via London. Or if you are lucky you may be able to get a lift if anyone is going from Birmingham area.

Inter-city train fares can be a lot cheaper if you book them in advance (same as air fares).

I need to know the dates on which you will travel please.

  Richard.

Unfortunately with all this train travel it will take me forever to
get to Cardiff and back again. Unless I can get a lift (or rent a car
together with someone) I will not be going :frowning:
Thanks for the info though.
