Character escapes

Hi,

Does anyone have any proven track or knowledge on where characters escape from their captives.

It has always been my impression that a character will NEVER escape in the same hex as where his/her captives is present, but one of the surrounding 6 hexes. That is of course unless the captive is killed, in which case the character escapes to the same hex as the captive was present.

can anyone confirm that ?

Sorry Kim,
Here’s a recent example: I captured an agent trying to K/A my army commander. He escaped the same turn he was captured. Next turn, he assassinated the agent who was guarding the army commander and who had captured him. i.e. he escaped to the same hex in which he was captured.

I can confirm it was him because another nation got the rumor that he assassinated the agent who captured him.

i think it’s pretty conclusive that a character can escape to the hex he/she was captured in (or in which his/her captor is located).
