Hi Robert,

Just curious, how far away from the Crack of Doom were
you when you found the One Ring if you can remember??

Does it take an Einstein to find it, and a Gilligan to
deliver it?

Delrod

-In game 264 it was picked up at 1527 on turn 48 and returned to Sauron on
turn 53.
-In game 302 it was picked up at 3611 on turn 47 and lost to PC on turn turn
49.

-It has been my experience that the one ring is very difficult to LAT.
Seems like about one in 4 or 5 is successful. That is with 80ish+ (120ish+)
mages.

John,

There is no obvious benifit to holding the one ring. That is, there is no
bonus that appears on your char sheet. In the first game I had it
Hoarmurath wasn't challenged (197 w/o the one ring) and no one tried to
assass him at 3423. Don't know if anyone knew he was there or not. He had
only his base 30 stealth.
In the next game Mardrash was PC'd by Elrond. Mardrash has a 75 challenge
w/o the ring, but I have no idea what Elrond's challenge was. (He had
Anguirel and the odds were 3 to 1 in elronds favor). Obviously they
targeted Mardrash, but I don't know if he showed up on a ScoChar or if they
were able to LAT the one ring (they only had one turn to do this).
The Noldo player (Steve, I think) posted a couple of times after elrond took
the ring, so maybe he or one of the members of his team could shed some
light on this one.
From just these two examples I can't tell if there is a secret or invisible
bonus a char gets with the one ring.

g'day Rob,

bad luck with 302, having had it twice, do you know what powers it
has? You hear rumours ranging from giving stealth and challenge to it
doing absolutley nothing for ya (besides being a pain to hang onto).
