Hurrah! 4 years after the question resurfaced and 6 years after the
discussion first aired, I have again found the original MEPBM
portraits as produced by Amelia James. Any of you who weren't around
to see them 6 years ago are urged to take a look and be amazed what
the character portraits looked like before GSI put them through their
low resolution photocopiers.

BTW the other artist credited, and whose signature appears on many of
the rulebook illustrations is Elizabeth Danforth. See some of her

She's a ceramic artist too, so is a person "after my own heart".
In case anyone is wandering what the original question/suggestion
was, 6 years ago, it was... Now that we have electronic turn sheets
instead of 1980's dot matrix printers, wouldn't it be great to
reinstate the original non-degraded portraits on the turnsheets?
